| Update |
[May. 11th, 2005|02:04 pm] |
Things stepped a notch down, so life is no longer "beautiful". I think "pretty good looking" would be accurate.
(Ambiguous statement about what I was alluding to before) I'm off in left field wondering whats going on with "things" (End of ambiguous statement about what I was alluding to before)
Let's see, something to say... Umm, Chorus concert was very good. It kinda makes me want to join Chorus next year for jollies. Perhaps if the AP Comp Sci/AP Music Theory thing clashes badly. Band concert tomorrow night. A few banquets after that. I almost got left out of the Honor Roll thing today because Coach Katz didn't have the invitations for us, but it all worked out in the end. No hard feeliings though, I still love him. If I become a teacher, I would want to be exactly like him.
Let me see if I can dig up some stupid survey to put on here.
EDIT: Found a survey ( Click here )
Cheers for now, -Dave |

| Disappointed. |
[Apr. 28th, 2005|09:41 pm] |
Well, my lacrosse season is over after a very disappointing 7-8 loss to Bishop Moore. Now that I have free time, I don't have the slightest idea what to do with myself. I called the country club to inform them that I am available now since lacrosse is done, but I'm not sure if they got the message. In other news today, I had one of those days where you feel invisible. I'm kinda looking forward to AP Exam's next week. Two free afternoons :) I'm contemplating going to the talent show tomorrow night. Anyone really want to go?
The length of this entry really fits with the theme of disappointment. I was hoping for something remotely thoughtful, with maybe a half of an ounce of pensive... sorry.

Ask me ANY 7 questions no matter how personal, inappropriate or random. I promise to answer the questions 100% truthfully.
EDIT: I don't want my question thingy to fall down a post, so I'm going to edit in my day here. I mowed the lawn, had some time to myself when my parents went down to Ticketmaster to pick up the tickets for Les Mis (Bob Carr). Unfortunately, my grande scheme was foiled at Les Mis(WSHS) today. Oh well. I have to send my congratulations all those involved with Les Mis. It was an incredibly well done production. *Claps* Now I finally get to see my drama/chorus friends again, and back to there old selves, no longer stressed out. :)
EDIT2: I will be accepting phone calls on my cell tonight if you want to talk... It would make me happy and maybe put me in a better mood for tomorrow... especially if I haven't really talked to you in a while.

My analysis of Heather's 31 wing eating escapade last monday.

Because of the difference in wing size, as well as the amount of meat still on the bone, I propose that her title of Wing Eating Beast be revoked until the feat is repeated in a controlled setting (Froggers).
The theme recently has been for life to completely screw over Dave when he tries to do something nice. Third time in 4 days tonight. I just wanted to do something nice... but we can't have that. Bleagh. God forbid I get a little good Karma my way.
End of update.

| | drained | ] | Argh, update...
The past week I've been sick and everything has been a drag. Friday's game against West Orange was canceled because their field flooded, so that was a nice suprise. I had a chance to go to the girl's game *sigh*. Two different sports I tell you...
Saturday, I ran in the Winter Springs 5k. Thanks to Erin for being my running buddy throughout the whole race. After that I went to work at the F.B.A. band festival. I ended up with a lot more responsibility than I wanted... but hey, its nice to be needed.
Sunday I loafed around the house because I wasn't feeling well, then I watched the Last Samurai at Lisa's with the crew. It's definately not as bad as some people make it out to be, but nowhere near as good as people have said.
Monday, I dragged myself into school. It sucked. I had no motivation to do anything (common theme this week). Practice sucked.
Tuesday, repeat of Monday except replace practice with a game vs. Seminole. Beating a team 23-1 is not even worth the trip. Bleagh.
Wednesday, repeat of Monday except practice wasn't as bad.
I can't wait for the weekend. This week has been awful. Nothing has really made me happy. A bit of warm weather would class. I'm tired of being freezing all of the time.
Cheers, -Dave |

| Entry theft from Derek |
[Feb. 20th, 2005|08:03 pm] |
Well, this entry, I'm going to play a game that I stole from Derek. First off, my week briefly.
Monday- A game vs. Edgewater. We shut them out, I had 5 saves. They weren't an especially good team.
Tuesday- Blarge.
Wednesday- No lesson, but blarge.
Thursday- A very well hyped game vs. Winter Park. Unfortunately, we lost by 1 point, 16-15. It's a tough way to go for the second game, but if I have to lose, I'd rather do it fighting "uphill", in a two-men-down situation like that.
Friday- Playathon + practice + school = blarge.
Saturday- Evita was cool
Sunday- Trotwood was cool, could have been a bit better, but tomorrow will tell more so on that. (Oh my! Cryptic)
Alright, I stole this idea from Derek's LJ. Here's the game...I'm going to write down a bunch of numbers and descriptions of people. It could be anyone (I tried to keep it to people who I thought read this, or know someone who does). You have to leave a comment with ONE guess on which number you think you are. Maybe, after a while, I'll let you have two or three cracks at it.
Remember, this is going out to just about anyone, so don't hesitate to take a guess. I'll tell you if you're not on there after you guess. Guessing via IM is allowed if you don't want people to know who you are.
1. You sir are the friend inwhich I go back the farthest with. Even though you moved a while ago, we still managed to stay great friends. Despite our very different tastes in music, dress, and girls, we still find our common interests.
2. English would be torture without you dude. I look forward to our sharing stories of the past weekend every Monday morning. I'll get "The Barry White" first, watch me. :-P
3. JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "We are unstoppable in Comp Sci"); //Note to self: check if usage of null is appropriate. //Mark my words, we are going to rock WSLL old man softball.
4. You may come across as a complete moron at times, but you are the most "wise beyond your years" girl I've ever met. Our conversations have helped me out immeasurably over the past few months.
5. We've had our differences in the past, I appreciate your recent respect of my privacy, and if you need to vent about recent events, I'm here.
6. I owe my non-violent record to our workout sessions. I can't thank you enough for letting me hit your hand pad things... instead of trees, or people.
7. If I never saw you again, or never heard about some stupid conversation you had... I wouldn't mind at all.
8. Keep up the good work in goal.
9. If I can make you roll your eyes at me once during band because of some new development in my love life, then I consider my work for the day done.
10. You're a damn good guy, an excellent pool and Halo player, and you're as good of a friend as I could ask for.
11. Wing night my friend... wing night. *Holds up good call finger*
12. You're a really great friend, and I'm glad I can always turn to you to gripe, bitch, moan, complain, and get information ;).
13. You're the one who hears it all. Where would I be without your English skills? Obviously not doing well in English.
14. I admire your athleticism and dedication to music immensely. Good luck with lacrosse and D.C.I.
15. You've shown me a lot of new things... good and bad. I admire your sense of humor, your vast intelligence, and your morals. You never cease to amaze me with that mysterious quality of yours.
16. (This goes out to a pair of sisters) You guys saw my inability to deal with kids at OSC... and the blunt force trauma to my special spot courtesy of a couple of kids...
17. "If all of your choices seem wrong, choose restraint"... However difficult, that sounds great right now.
18. We've gone through some hoops since the summer. We've had some great times. You're a wonderful musician, a great athlete, and an amazing person.
19. Ops comrade for next year. Cheers.
20. You're a great guy even if you pull the race card every 2 seconds.
21. I have no idea if you read this, but if you do... Good luck with you're first year of High School girls lacrosse, and congratulations on getting a great shot past me at you're practice at the beginning of the semester. #1? Good call. :)
22. Early morning discussions in History, boss... Keep tappin'.
23. You're my best friend, and you sign your name in an excessively long fashion whenever you post here.
I may add a few extras if I realize I forgot someone.
Cheers, -Dave |

| Cookie Dough |
[Feb. 1st, 2005|06:29 pm] |
Ok, as I said earlier, I have to sell cookie dough for lacrosse. If you really want cookie dough, then have a look at the pictures of the brochure and contact me. If not, no biggie. They come in 3 lbs. tubs. I am supposed to sell 20 tubs, but I'm not sure how close to that I'm going to get.

Feel free to comment with any questions also.
Lacrosse has been going pretty well, as with most other things. Wing night was awesome, and Clarinet Day was worth the trouble too.
Thanks for reading and looking at the pretty pictures of cookies.
Cheers, -Dave |

| Pet peeves |
[Jan. 27th, 2005|08:06 pm] |
I left off with things going really well, and they still are. The only real complaint I have is a general lack of patience on my part with practically everything. One such thing is that some people could not write a coherent livejournal entry if their lives depended on it. I don't ask for much. I just want some capitalization, some punctuation, and if you stutter in real life, don't stutter on livejournal. I'm not asking for the world to mimic Erin's essay entries (sorry Erin, I still love you :) ) but I don't want to have to fetch my cracker jack decoder ring to figure out what a person is trying to say.
One last thing, I have the pleasure of selling cookie dough for lacrosse next week. I'll have more details come Monday, but if you're interested, you know who to see. Otherwise, no biggie. :)
Cheers, -Dave |

Ok, This week has brought a bit of very much needed resolution. It has allowed me to just kick back and chill, which has been nice. I'm glad to see things turning back to the way they were before. Although, judging by the comments on my last entry, some things will never change. There will always be someone flaming me to make themselves feel good/big/insert your own adjective here. Cheers to a hilarious defense from Derek and support for Alex. Tryouts have been going pretty well. I had good days every day. From what I'm told, it appears no one has been cut from the program at all. This is another decision I would have made differently if I were in charge, but I'm not, so I'll leave that stuff to the coaches. All County has been going well too. The practices have been horribly long, and my parts in the music are nowhere near as interesting as I'm used to with my regular school music, but that's easily explained. Atleast I get to sit on the end with Kirstie instead of being in my old spot, 3 ft. from being off stage left, behind the Tubas. :) Oh well, 3 and a half more hours of rehearsal tomorrow morning, then the concert, then I'll be done.
Cheers, -Dave |
